Herttuankulma's K-Supermarket opens at the end of the year

The much-awaited K‑Supermarket is set to open on Nosturinkatu by the end of the year, run by shopkeepers Jonna and Mikko Holopainen.

– We’re thrilled to be bringing a brand new K‑Supermarket to Herttuankulma, and we want the whole neighbourhood involved. If you’ve got any requests, please get in touch. We’d love to make your ideas a reality, even before we open, Jonna and Mikko say.

The 3500 square metre store will boast a varied product selection.

– We aim to offer as much variety as possible, from everyday basics to something a bit more special. You’ll also find permanently low-priced products, and by combining those with other offers, you can build a more budget-friendly shopping basket.

Grocery shopping can also be combined with picking up online shopping. The K-Supermarket will have parcel lockers and pickup points for Posti, Matkahuolto, PostNord, Schenker, and Budbee.

Turku Castle is a medieval fortress, just a kilometre from Herttuankulma at the mouth of the Aura River. One of Finland’s most important historical landmarks, it has served as a military stronghold, seat of power, and even a prison. Today, it houses a museum that brings the castle’s rich past and Finland’s history to life.

By the end of 2025, Turku’s first city boulevard will be completed in Herttuankulma. It will connect Tukholmankatu directly to Turku Castle via a practical and scenic avenue.

Ruissalo nature reserve

Only 3.5 km away, Ruissalo is perfect for a bike ride or walk in the woods. Known for its great walking trails, lush nature and rich birdlife, it also has some excellent swimming spots.
