The national Joo Day calls you to follow your dreams

What would life look like if we said yes more often?
On May 5th, we celebrate Joo Day once again. This annual theme day challenges us to say yes (Joo) to the opportunities that come our way, as well as to both small and big dreams. Now celebrated for the fourth time, the day aims to encourage all of us to open the door to new experiences.
The message behind Joo Day feels more relevant than ever. “No” is one of the most commonly used words in Finnish, while “yes” is nowhere near the top of the list. Joo Day brings a sense of positivity and openness to everyday life at a time when uncertainty often feels more present.
Joo Day can be celebrated by anyone, anywhere. It can be a small decision in the middle of your day or a bigger step towards something new. What if you said yes to a new hobby you have not dared to try before? Or called a friend you have not spoken to in a while? What if you asked out that person you always see at the same café?
Try it and see what happens when you say yes, even if it feels a little uncomfortable.
