Joo Day is back for the third time, calling us all to say yes more often
The national Joo Day returns for the third time on 5 May. This yearly themed occasion invites us to say joo, Finnish for yes, to new opportunities and to dreams both big and small.
This is a message well worth embracing. In Finnish, no is one of the most frequently used words, while yes is nowhere near the top of the list. Joo Day brings a welcome boost of positivity into everyday life, especially in a time when the world can feel uncertain.
"On Joo Day, you get to experience what life can offer when you let go of your preconceptions and boldly try something new. It's a day without limitations," says Roosa Lappalainen, Marketing Manager at Joo Kodit.
