The pouring rain didn’t dampen the spirits in Pukkila, Turku.
To celebrate autumn, we organised a courtyard party for our residents in early September! Residents of Turun Huoleton and Turun Rento gathered in the courtyard of the apartment buildings in Pukkila, Turku, to spend an evening together. Although the autumn weather surprised us with heavy rain, we were delighted to see so many people attend.
Tacos, beanbag toss and a Mölkky tournament!
The evening featured tacos, relaxed conversations and plenty of eagerly awaited activities for the whole family. The beanbag toss once again attracted particularly enthusiastic participants. One resident told us that her young son had been looking forward to the event and the beanbag toss all week. That truly warmed the hearts of the Joo team!
The Mölkky tournament began at 5 p.m.
The rain made playing Mölkky challenging at times, but fortunately it did not dampen anyone’s enthusiasm. The competitive spirit was almost tangible, and the residents made sure the tournament was played through to the end — even though players occasionally had to dodge the rain showers.
Throughout the evening, we had the chance to catch up with many familiar faces. Several residents told us they remembered us from previous events and thanked us for organising shared moments amid everyday life. It was especially lovely to see how many residents were already asking about the next event.
Although the rain soaked our shoes, it did not dampen the atmosphere. Quite the opposite. The evening left us with a warm sense of community that will bring us joy for a long time to come.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. It was a pleasure to see you again. 🧡
