Fridge not working in your rental home? Don’t worry, it's not always broken. Before contacting maintenance, try these quick checks:

  • Make sure the fridge is plugged in. The socket might be inside a cupboard, on top of, or next to the fridge.

  • Check that the thermostat is set between 4–6°C.

  • Turn off the fridge’s dedicated fuse for a few minutes, then turn it back on.

  • Reset the residual-current device (RCD) in the fuse box.
