Extractor fan not working in your rental home? Try this checklist to troubleshoot.

Is the extractor fan in your rental home not working? Don’t worry, it's not always broken. Before contacting maintenance, try these quick checks:

• Turn off the stove's fuse for a few minutes, then turn it back on.

• Reset the residual-current device (RCD) in the fuse box.

• If the range hood doesn’t seem to be pulling air, hold a piece of paper towel against the filter. Does it move?
